Thank You for a Wonderful 2026 Fun Ride!
Another GDETF Fun Ride was enjoyed by all, and what a wonderful weekend it was!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for a weekend of horses, trails, good food, great company, and all the things that make the GDETF Fun Ride such a special tradition. Whether you came to ride, camp, volunteer, lend a hand behind the scenes, or simply spend the weekend with our trail community, we are so glad you were there.
Your Participation Makes a Difference
The Fun Ride isn’t just a great weekend with our horses—it is also one of the ways GDETF raises the funds needed to protect, maintain, and improve the places where we all love to ride.
Thanks to the tremendous support of our riders, sponsors, donors, and volunteers, the 2026 Fun Ride raised significant funds that will help support cleaning up downed trees in the campground and on trail, repairs to corrals damaged during last year’s storms, as well as bridge and trail improvements GDETF has undertaken this year and will continue into 2027.
We’re also excited to be expanding our trail stewardship efforts beyond Dru Barner Equestrian Park. GDETF is beginning to support California State Parks with equestrian trail improvement projects in the Auburn State Recreation Area and the Olmstead trail system—helping preserve and improve access to even more of the incredible trails our equestrian community enjoys.
When you participate in the GDETF Fun Ride, you’re not just coming out for a ride. You’re helping us take care of the trails, bridges, corrals, and equestrian facilities that make these experiences possible. Thank you for being part of that work.
It Takes a Community
Events like this simply would not be possible without the incredible volunteers who give their time before, during, and after the ride. From preparing and marking trails to registration, parking, obstacles, meals, raffle, camp support, cleanup, and countless other jobs, it takes a tremendous team to make the weekend happen. Thank you to every person who pitched in.
We are also incredibly grateful to our sponsors and donors whose generosity helps us make the Fun Ride better each year. Please support the businesses and individuals who support GDETF and our local equestrian community.
