Welcome to the Georgetown Divide Equestrian Trails Foundation

This organization was founded in 1987 to encourage identification and dedication of equestrian and hiking trails on the Georgetown Divide in El Dorado County, California.
Since its inception, the Foundation, in cooperation with the U.S. Forest Service, has been instrumental in the development of many miles of trails, the construction of staging areas, and the creation of the Dru Barner Campground.
The campground includes 40+ campsites, many with picnic tables and a fire rings, and continuing to add more permanent horse corrals. There are flush toilets, water for horses, and a large group area with tables. Reservations can be made at Recreation.gov.
