ANNUAL DRU BARNER FUN(d) RIDE
Memorial Day weekend
SUNDAY May 26, 2019
Come join us every Memorial Day weekend for the Annual Dru Barner Fun(d) Ride at the beautiful Dru Barner Campground and Equestrian Park just East of Georgetown.
Ride the Enchanted Forest for 5 miles, the 12-mile loop, or challenge yourself and your horse and head out on a 20-mile loop on the well-marked Rock Creek Trails. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy a delicious BBQ dinner, salads, and dessert at the park. We’ll be selling raffle tickets until dinner and GDETF T-shirts/sweatshirts throughout the day.

Overnight camping on Saturday is encouraged or check-in early Sunday morning. Check-in begins 3 p.m. on Saturday and again 7 a.m. Sunday morning. 20-milers need to be on the trail by 9 a.m. and 12-milers by 10 a.m. This is so our sweep riders have enough time to get back for dinner with us! 5-milers may ride the trail at their convenience. ALL riders need to be back in camp by 4:00 p.m. for the BBQ and raffle.
Prior reservations are appreciated for food prep and quicker check-in. We need to receive your entry form and payment by May 18 so food preparation can begin! There is limited trailer parking so get your reservations in early before the cut-off point. This event is very popular and fills up – DO NOT count on being a walk-in ride morning without a reservation.
If you do not plan on riding this event, please consider volunteering to help out. There are many jobs to be done to put on such a successful event, and it’s a great group to work with.
If you have any other questions or would like to volunteer, please contact us.
This is GDETF’s major fundraiser and we welcome your support! All the profits of this fun(d) ride go back into improving and maintaining the campgrounds and other local trails.
